problemes avec les drivers NVidia
Bonjour,
j'ai remarque que mon probleme etait recurrent chez les utilisateurs de materiel concu par NVidia, mais en cherchant sur le net, je n'ai pas trouve de reponse.
Le probleme:
J'ai installe la 3.0r1, que j'ai passe en unstable. J'ai donc recupere le noyau
2.4.20, que j'ai compile, et qui fonctionne correctement. J'ai ensuite recupere les drivers de ma carte sur le site de nvidia (GeForce 2 MX toute bete). Et la les ennuis commencent.
Si je prends une version des drivers > 1.0-3123, l'installation se passe bien, mais quand je tape "startx" la machine plante, de maniere irrecuperable -> reboot and co.
Avec les drivers 1.0-3123, j'ai le message d'erreur suivant:

A priori il ne s'agit pas cette fois d'un probleme du au driver de la carte graphique, mais je n'arrive pas a comprendre pourquoi il me dit qu'aucune configuration pour l'ecran est correcte.
Mon ecran est un Gateway EV700, dont j'ai les specs, les frequences verticales et
horizontales sont OK (ca a toujours fonctionne jusqu'a present).

Ce qui est etonnant c'est que sur mon portable j'ai aussi une GeForce2 MX,
et X tourne sans probleme (mais c'est une autre distrib) avec ce meme drivers.
