cdbackup ?

je viens de découvrir cdbackup et j'aimerai bien l'utiliser 
mais je me pose une question.
Que veut dire ? :
WARNING! When using this program under Linux, be sure  not
to  use  dump with kernels in the 2.4.x series. Using dump
on an ext2 filesystem has a very high potential for  caus­
ing  filesystem  corruption.  As of kernel version 2.4.18,
this has not been fixed and it may not be fixed at all.

j'ai un anglais très defaillant et avant de faire une con^\|@^@

c'est le " be sure  not to  use  dump with 
kernels in the 2.4.x series..." qui m'inquiete

j'utilise un 2.4.19 en ext3 -  Alors ?
