I work on a Debian 2.0 machine. When I logon to a SunOS thingy (uname -s gives: SunOS owl 5.5 Generic sun4c sparc SUNW,Sun_4_75), setenv DISPLAY to my screen and start emacs (Version 19.25.1) I get a window which has double the size it should have. If I type a character, I get a space immediately added. Working with emacs is not possible. I can however work on an IRIX machine, login ti the sun, setenv DISPLAY and start emacs without problems.
