Diald Problems

Hello guys. I am still stuck with this diald problems which is getting
nuts. It seems it works fine for everyone else but not here. Basically... I
am on the box itself which have diald installed and I have set the local and
remote hosts at 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2 and set the dial-up connection
properly which works by pon.

Now... the problem is... I am trying to make diald to function properly
as it supposed to be by PPP connection. What is the main purpose of slip
running in the background? What is it supposed to be listening so it can
detect the network request packet and then actually start dialing?

What is required in the files itself as follows:

hosts.conf
resolv.conf
networks
diald.options

What my setup is that I like to use the box itself to do dial-on-demand
by running lynx, ping or other network utilities to get the diald to start
dialing out on /dev/ttyS1. It uses dynamic IP address allocation. So.. I
appreicate someone out there give me full assistance on this problem since I
cannot make it work properly. Thank you.
