The problem actually lies with the other distros because they no
longer do the right thing when it comes to root logins.  This breeds
familiarity with doing the Wrong Thing, and I think we all agree if we
wanted that, we'd be running Windows.  Go file bug reports with all
distros that do the wrong thing to get this fixed.
