RE: depmod question



pete,
  ok, i've been digging up some info on this.  It seems that zip drives on
the parallel port require the lp module to be loaded.

# modprobe lp
# modprobe imm

Possibly you need parallel port printer support compiled in your kernel???
Maybe its puking on that, just a long shot.
