The Cathedral and the Bazaar is a pretty interesting read. It's available here:

Also, the book "Free For All" is informative (however, the author seems to repeat
himself numerous time to fill the pages). Ironically, I don't believe if the text is
available for free (it might be).
The actually "open-source" licenses are fun to compare (gnu vs. the bsd's vs. mozilla
vs. apple's etc).
