We started the upstream front desk, and this mailing list, in September last year, but nothing has actually happened. Should we be more proactive? Should we forget about it? Personally, I'm (now) in favor of closing down the UFD. We've got enough ways for upstreams to approach Debian that having a dormant mailing list for it is not really necessary.
