Re: Need 32 bit supported GCC 4.9 debian binaries for Renesas SH7757 Processor

Hi John,

Can you please tell me which GCC Version is stable without any issues for Renesas SH7757 Processor now?

You will probably need to do that yourself, see:

https://wiki.debian.org/BuildingCrossCompilers
Please note that gcc-4.9 and gcc-5 currently have some issues on the
SuperH architecture and it might be best to use a gcc SVN snapshot
to make sure you always have the latest SH-related fixes in.

Just recently two important bugs in the SH backend were fixed which
won't arrive in Debian before Matthias Klose starts the next round
of compiler updates for gcc-4.8, gcc-4.9 and gcc-5.

I usually do a compiling on native hardware (SH7785LCR in my case)
which allows me to test the compiled code right away.

Oh, and because of the various compiler bugs, we're still falling
behind in the build queue. But I am constantly working on that
to improve the situation.

Adrian
