That won't change the problem: it's the build of detex-src/detex.c that
fails, because it misses detex-src/$(am__dirstamp)

But the LLM suggestion is not completely idiotic, it's just shifted
because it just took the common issue rather than actually understanding
the real issue: adding

BUILT_SOURCES = detex-src/$(am__dirstamp)

makes the build go fine because it tells automake to make sure to build
this directory before anything else.
