Bug#994264: tex-common fails configuration (fmtutil failed) after texlive installation

Hi,

The file system containing /var is definitely working and not full (in particular, I can write to /var).

The directory structure under /var/lib/texmf exists with some file contents after an installation. The specific directories /var/lib/texmf/web2c/luahbtex and /var/lib/texmf/web2c/luatex mentioned in the error messages exist, but remain empty.

Thanks
