Bug#555620: install-info: ginstall-info produces somehow broken utf-8 output

Hi

I copied the current /usr/share/info/dir to ~
I downloaded the maplev.gz from the bug report
I called
	install-info maplev.gz dir
I got the following diff:

That looks reasonable, I don't see any problem here.

This is with install-info   6.5.91.dfsg.1-1~1

Testing with 6.5.0 would be nice, too.
