Bug#809039: texlive-science: upgrade failed

Thanks, that was the missing info. Strange that I haven't seen this, and I always do updates of texlive-full.

Will try to upload a fix tomorrow.

Hi Norbert,

The upgrade failed, apparently due to missing Breaks/Replaces
(I no longer have the error message).

Haven't seen that. So if it broke, how did you install it?

A simple upgrade of the whole texlive suite at once sufficed in my
case.

with --force-overwrite?

Surely not.

Then at least you should have some rememberance of what file was
problematic.

Preparing to unpack .../texlive-science_2015.20151225-1_all.deb ...
Unpacking texlive-science (2015.20151225-1) over (2015.20151116-1) ...
dpkg: error processing archive /var/cache/apt/archives/texlive-science_2015.20151225-1_all.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite '/usr/share/texlive/texmf-dist/tex/latex/simplewick/simplewick.sty', which is also in package texlive-latex-extra 2015.20151116-1
dpkg-deb: error: subprocess paste was killed by signal (Broken pipe)

Please be aware that dpkg aborts on the first file with a conflict
encountered and that there may be more of them in this package.
