I have replaced the fix from Chris with the code from Patrice
svn commit, and rebuild a texinfo package.

It would be great if one of you could test whether Fabrice's could
actually/also solves the problems we did have with indeterministic
indices.

The package is available in source and amd64 binary at:
deb http://people.debian.org/~preining/TeX/ texinfo/
deb-src http://people.debian.org/~preining/TeX/ texinfo/
and everything is signed with my Debian key.
