I did not see a core file but I will look again. nope, no core file. here's the session running the command as a normal user:
debian@beaglebone:~$ xetex -ini This is XeTeX, Version 3.1415926-2.4-0.9998 (TeX Live 2012/Debian) (INITEX) restricted \write18 enabled. ** Please type the name of your input file. ** Please type the name of your input file. **^CPlease type the name of your input file. **^C Please type the name of your input file. **Please type the name of your input file. **^Z [1]+ Stopped xetex -ini
debian@beaglebone:~$ xelatex.ini
bash: xelatex.ini: command not found
(I don't have a file to give it. the binary however is *not* the problem. I included in the initial report that it crashes on install, specificly dpkg --configure called from within the script returns 1 (an error in dpkg trying to configure the pkg.)
Refrence the initial report toward the end for the complete session.
