Dear Maintainer,

I'm reporting this despite the below warning, because you seem to have
neglected to provide any information on how to look up where to send
such reports (and because tex-live@tug.org doesn't sound like a proper
bug tracking system to me).

The Metapost manual would benefit by including entries in the PDF
"outline" for the References and Index, preferably (but this is probably
something of a pipe dream) with some sort of alphabetical subdivision
for the index.

-- Package-specific info:
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: We will only consider bug reports concerning
the packaging of TeX Live as relevant. If you have problems with
combination of packages in a LaTeX document, please consult your
local TeX User Group, the comp.text.tex user group, the author of
the original .sty file, or any other help resource.

In particular, bugs that are related to up-upstream, i.e., neither
Debian nor TeX Live (upstream), but the original package authors,
will be closed immediately.

Indeed, this is also not the place, because TeX Live will tell you
the same as we do
	Please contact the original authors.

In this case, which can be found on the "I'm feeling lucky" search
for "metapost", it is the metapost mailing list:
	http://lists.tug.org/metapost
	metapost@tug.org

The best is of course that you provide a patch to the TeX file for
the manual ...

Closing this bug.

Thanks

Norbert
