Package: tetex-doc Version: N/A Severity: wishlist After recent discussions on fr.comp.text.tex it appears that beginners do not easily find documentation. Of course one can browse HTML doc, but it is simpler to use texdoc to view doc of a certain package. Unfortunately some packages provide doc with a non trivial filename. For instance, you have to type `texdoc amsldoc' to view amsmath documentation. It would be nice if there was symlinks to the right file. With the previous example, all .sty and .cls files under /usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/amslatex might have a corresponding DVI file which is a symlink to amsldoc.dvi.gz so that `texdoc amsmath', `texdoc amsbook', etc, display something useful.
