Just for the records. There seems to be a new method to contribute
new translations to babel: babel-contrib. On
http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/babel-contrib
one finds another implementation for this wishlist bug. I'll check if
this is on TL 2011.
