Bug#602964: dpkg: error processing tex-common (--configure)

thanks for your answer, so far!

I am not sure, whether this is of help, but here is the contents of
the file /var/lib/ucf/registry after I installed tex-common and
before I tried to install texlive:

That looks very very suspicious.

My ucf registry contains the same lines but without the number prefixes.

That's similar on my laptop. There, the file registry.0 reads

grub-pc 	 /etc/default/grub
tex-common 	 /etc/texmf/texmf.d/05TeXMF.cnf
tex-common 	 /etc/texmf/texmf.d/15Plain.cnf
tex-common 	 /etc/texmf/texmf.d/45TeXinputs.cnf

tex-common 	 /etc/texmf/texmf.d/65BibTeX.cnf
tex-common 	 /etc/texmf/texmf.d/75DviPS.cnf

tex-common 	 /etc/texmf/texmf.d/85Misc.cnf

as well, while registry itself has single number prefixes:

Does that mean, that I am going to run into the same problems on my
laptop, too? Like my desktop also my laptop, though quite old
hardware, is a rather new installation. !?!?!?!

For the ucf maintainers: Do you have any idea what that could be?

Is there maybe some dpkg, apt-get, aptitude, or some other cache
that I should reset?
