The message "xdvi.bin: Warning: Raw Postscript commands on page 1 may be rendered incorrectly." is printed on the console.

Yes, this is the expected behaviour.
xdvi is a *DVI* viewer, not a Postscript viewer. So you cannot expect
that arbitrary postscript code will be shown.
