I noticed one problem with another test but I believe
it is not a TL2009 problem but FYI.

When pTeX (japanese version of TeX) packages were installed,
upgrading (and/or installation also) of TL2009 failed with
the following messages (only a short extract).

It looks strange for me that there are libkpathsea5 of TL2009
and also old libkpathsea4 but it fails as above.

There will be some inconsistency among TL2009 environment
and pTeX.  pTeX is designed to be compiled under teTeX3(!)
as far as I know.
