About a problem with the new texlive packages

Dear people,

I was so excited to see that Norbert released some pre-packages of tl 2009
that I couldn't resist and I installed it on both a sid system of mine (my
main workstation) and on an Ubuntu karmic.

For the Ubuntu karmic, I had to compile libpoppler4, as karmic only has
libpoppler5. No big deal here.

Just a minor problem upgrading from Ubuntu, which is a conflict with
texlive-binaries and freetype1-tools both providing /usr/bin/ttf2tfm:

---------------------------------------------------------------------
(Reading database ... 156768 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking texlive-binaries (from
.../texlive-binaries_2009~svn15596-1_amd64.deb) ...
dpkg: error processing
/var/cache/apt/archives/texlive-binaries_2009~svn15596-1_amd64.deb
(--unpack):
trying to overwrite '/usr/bin/ttf2tfm', which is also in package
 freetype1-tools 0:1.4pre.cvs20060210-1ubuntu1
dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe)
Errors were encountered while processing:
 /var/cache/apt/archives/texlive-binaries_2009~svn15596-1_amd64.deb
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
A package failed to install. Trying to recover:
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of texlive-base:
 texlive-base depends on texlive-binaries (>= 2008); however:
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Just a versioned dependency relation would take care of it.

So far, things have been working quite well (I just wish that we had a
little bit more fine grained choices in the installation), but your job is
superb.

Thank you so very much, Rogério.

P.S.: I know that luatex is getting a lot of attention these days (despite
the fact that I never used it yet), but is luatex a hard dependency of
texlive-base? Oh, talking about dependencies, thank you for getting rid of
ed as a dependency of tl2009. :-)
