I have updated texlive-base and texlive-bin with several replaces after
the first test round, the version is still -1~3.
I also uploaded tex-common 1.2~1 which sets trie_size to 400000 as with
300000 and all texlive-lang package we get capacity exceeded.
I made the following tests wiht success:
- install texlive-full 2007
- install texlive 2007
- install texlive-full 2005 -> dist-upgrade with 2007
- install texlive 2005 -> dist-upgrade with 2007
- install tetex-{bin,base,extra} -> install texlive 2007
- install tetex-{bin,base,extra} -> install texlive 2005 -> dist-upgrade
with 2007
This is a quite good mix. I wanted to test all the variants with
texlive-full, too, but it was too much pain and I want to go to bed now.
Outstanding points I have found:
- pdflatex.1 manpage is still in texlive-base-bin (texlive-bin) while
the actual file is installed via texlive-latex-base (texlive-base)
- trie_size mind 400000, 350000 isn't enough!
tex-common 1.2~1 is in the tl2007 depot
- missing versioned dep on tex-common >= 1.2 ???
Happy further testing ...
