I think we should try to convince the release team to let it in - after
all, the pdftex patch is the same that is already in etch and fixed a RC
bug there, it's not RC in texlive only because no package FTBFS because
of it.

I guess we should wait until the package is old enough so that it would
migrate by itself, if there was no freeze.  The same (i.e., wait) we
should do with the tetex packages. 

texlive-bin needs 8 days
tetex-bin   needs 7 days
tetex-base  needs 11 days (upload under way)
tex-common  needs 11 days (upload due today)

So maybe we should send a mail to -release next week on tuesday, asking
for the -bin packages to be included, and one more a couple of days
later. 

Or am I wrong in assuming that the "n-days old" rule still holds for
hinted testing migration?
