That was r511, right? AFAIKT you have added a check for succesfull
kpsewhich to postinst-tex but not to postrm-tex. This should be ok,
since the error is catched in postrm-tex. However, the message "If
tex-common is not configured you can ignore this error message!" is
missleading now. Although it is probably very unlikely that a font
package is removed and tetex-bin or texlive-basic-bin is installed in
the same run and the latter has not been configured yet. Or are there
other cases where this message could be triggered even though tex-common
is configured?

BTW, should post{inst,rm}-texfonts be changed, too. Or will
dh_installtexfonts be obsoleted soon?
