Bug#373931: [(nowhere)] Re: Bug#373931: dvi output does not work

--- Begin Message ---
I downgraded my tetex-bin package in stable version in order to produce my dvi
files.
Then I upgrade them again to produce the output you requiered, then I receive
the following message:

This is pdfeTeX, Version 3.141592-1.21a-2.2 (Web2C 7.5.4)
---! /local_home/manuel/.texmf-var/web2c/latex.fmt was written by tex
(Fatal format file error; I'm stymied)

so, I remove all the .texmf-var directory and re-run latex and it works.
I am a bit confused, because it will be difficult to reproduce the problem.
So, if the problem occurs again on a other of the computers I monitor, I will
make the test you suggest.

Thanks,
Manuel
