No. I was also puzzled by Norbert's statement until I noticed I was
getting this mail via debian-tetex-maint@lists.debian.org, too. Within
Debian, some parts of teTeX and TeXlive are not installed, and instead
there are separate packages with separate maintainers. And consequently
more frequent updates. For example, lmodern in Debian is 0.99.3, while
teTeX 3.0 has only 0.92. beamer.cls/pgf is an other example: All have
in common that they are developed actively and have quite fast (and
important) releases.
It would really be nice if some Debian guy would offer to maintain a
separate ConTeXt package for Debian, so that the latest version is
always in Debian unstable, even if teTeX or TeXLive still contains an
outdated one.
