Looks like it:

arrakis:~# dpkg -l tex-common
Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold
| Status=Not/Installed/Config-files/Unpacked/Failed-config/Half-installed
|/ Err?=(none)/Hold/Reinst-required/X=both-problems (Status,Err: uppercase=bad)
||/ Name           Version        Description
+++-==============-==============-============================================
pi tex-common 0.23 Common infrastructure for using and building
arrakis:~# dpkg -L tex-common
/etc/texmf
/etc/texmf/fmt.d
/etc/texmf/fmt.d/00tex.cnf
/etc/texmf/language.d
/etc/texmf/language.d/00tex.cnf
/etc/texmf/texmf.d
/etc/texmf/updmap.d
/var/lib/texmf/tex
/var/lib/texmf/tex/generic
/var/lib/texmf/tex/generic/config
arrakis:~#

Not sure what's going on here.

I'm purging tex-common inside the chroot right now, I'll requeue the
build once that's done.

Exactly.
