[snipping my own message]
ConTeXt is a TeX format, roughly comparable to LaTeX. If you don't know
this, then you probably did not install this updated but incomplete
ConTeXt into /usr/share/texmf.
Are files like /usr/share/texmf/tex/context/base/cont-en.tex owned by
any Debian package, ie what is the output of
dpkg -S /usr/share/texmf/tex/context/base/cont-en.tex
? There are no special ConTeXt packages in Debian, but maybe somebody
created something for Kanotix? It is quite some time ago since I last
used Kanotix. But it may well be that this is not only not a teTeX
issue, but also not a Debian issue.
