Package: tetex-bin
Version: 3.0-16
Severity: normal
The resulting pdf file can be opened normally by gv or xpdf,
but could not be viewed using acroread under either windows
or linux: the error message is 'A drawing error occurred'
when moving to the second page. On the second page, there is
an eps figure, which is automatically converted into pdf by
epstopdf (I set the --shell-escape option.)
I googled it and got several hits. Some people had the same
problem but under different scenarios. Their pdf files were
created by ps2pdf, and people thought the problem was caused
by an unstable version of ghostscript "gs" 8.15 gs-esp. I
also tried
(tex) latex -> (dvi) dvips -> (ps) ps2pdf (pdf)
then acroread can open the resulting pdf. Seems the problem
lies in pdflatex or epstopdf. (Of course, it can be a bug of
acroread as well.)
Thanks!
