I don't think this is a valid pro-argument - it also means that bugs in
other packages are harder to detect.

No, in fact these three are purely aesthetic. It was just that I
noticed this while preparing the sponsored upload for thailatex, and -
not knowing what exactly was called under which circumstances - I wanted
to make sure to investigate this.

Okay, now that I know this, I guess it's in fact unimportant.

That sounds sensible (although I'm not familiar with the code
dh_installtex introduces, and can't contribute much insight here).
