This has been contributed by Piet van Ostrum, picins' author, and should
be safe.  No idea, however, whether this is important enough to warrant
inclusion in http://pkg-tetex.alioth.debian.org/update.html, since you
can easily keep a patched version in TEXMFLOCAL.
