Hi Thomas,

http://bugs.debian.org/322160

A bug when using TrueType with pdfLaTeX was fixed in pdTeX 1.30. Do
you plan to release another teTeX 3.0.x with updated programs,
packages etc.?

Regards,
  Hilmar

Package: tetex-bin
Version: 3.0-5
Severity: normal
Tags: fixed-upstream

This bug can e.g. be triggered by installing cjk-latex¹ and
tfm-arphic-bsmi00lp, and running pdflatex over cjk-latex's example
file Big5.tex. This gives:

Error: pdflatex (file
/usr/share/texmf/fonts/truetype/arphic/bsmi00lp.ttf): cmap: unicode
EEFF is mapped to multiple glyphs

==> Fatal error occurred, the output PDF file is not finished!

There seems to be an error in the font, but pdflatex should give only a
warning. This is bug 306 at
http://sarovar.org/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=306&group_id=106&atid=493
and is fixed upstream in pdftex-1.30.0.

Regards, Frank
