Ok, I will try to check whether gsfonts is really required by
tetex-extra. If not, I will file a 'reminder' bug report for this, too.

You are talking about #271427, right? The way I understand
<URL:http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=271427>, a fixed
package is available. I haven't tested it, though. There are quite a few
other problems with these fonts. See
<URL:http://bugs.ghostscript.com/show_bug.cgi?id=687297>. In addition,
the Debain maintainer for gsfonts Masayuki Hatta seems to be MIA.¹ Not
exactly ideal ...

1 I did send an email to mia@qa.debian.org about Masayuki Hatta and
gs-esp, but didn't get a reply. No idea if this is normal.
