I cannot reproduce this here. It seems that the command line is not
parsed correctly.
> Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8)
What happens if you call
LC_ALL=C latex ‐‐file‐line‐error‐style test
Maybe also the charmap could be a problem, I don't know much about these
issues.
