To me, this output looks perfectly normal. Hilmar, do you have any
suspicion? 

Your (and Christophe's) error description do in fact sound as if updmap
was not run during installation or upgrade, but as far as I can see this
is impossible, unless the configuration fails completely, or displays a
note and leaves the "tetex-bin/updmap-failed: true" sign in
debconf-show's output - which doesn't seem to have been the case on
Christophe's system. 

Dennis, you wrote that you upgraded yesterday - does that mean you
upgraded from woody to sarge "yesterday", or just that you keep your
system up-to-date and did that last "yesterday"?

Do you remember any error messages, either during this last upgrade, or
earlier?
