Package: tetex-base
Version: 2.0.2c-6
Severity: critical

A simple upgrade made my tetex installation unsuable because of the
failure to generate a format. I've reinstalled tetex from the scratch
(at least I tried to), but the problem didn't vanished. It can be
ilustrated by the standard sample2e.tex file.

I have been asked no questions during installation.

I enclosed the output below.

Best regards

Janusz

Well, grave is still a release-critical bug, it's just more correct for
what you reported (see
file:///home/frank/doc/debian-devel/Developer.html#severities). Since it
seemed it was a false alarm indeed, we can close it. You could have done
this yourself, by sending your answer to 294405-done@bugs.debian.org, I
do it now. Note that you can still send mail to the bug address for a
couple of days, if you need some clarification.

Do you mean that the cjk-latex Debian package is broken? Then please
file a bug against it, with an appropriate severity (if it's really
unusable, I'd say grave). We do not want to release sarge with a broken
package.=20

The command

kpsewhich --format=3D'web2c files' texmf.cnf

will tell you which texmf.cnf is used. In this file there's probably a
definition of $TEXMF that includes this directory, and does that before
/usr/share/texmf.=20
