Bug#338360: Lots of dependencies in new version (0.9)

Package: tex-common
Version: 0.9

When upgrading to the latest version of tex-common, the following messages
appear:

gheesh:~# apt-get dist-upgrade
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Calculating upgrade... Done
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  cpio debconf-utils debhelper dpkg-dev gettext html2text intltool-debian
  patch po-debconf
The following packages will be upgraded:
  tex-common
1 upgraded, 9 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Need to get 751kB/3114kB of archives.
After unpacking 8172kB of additional disk space will be used.
Do you want to continue [Y/n]?

It seems to me like the new version depends on too many packages and I'm not
sure all of them are really needed. Could you please check if this is the
case or there has been some mistake in the dependencies?

Thank you very much.
