I've got some new information on this:  It is a limitation in
PostScript, but one can work around it.  The breakurl package, available
on CTAN, does this:  it cuts the hyperlink in many parts at some
predefined chars and lets it be wrapped over the line.

I wasn't aware that you did so - usually when people complain about this
they blame hyperref.  And since the maintainer of hyperref, Heiko
Oberdied, expressed interest in the problem, it might be that there will
be some "breakurls interface" in hyperref or similar.  Therefore I'm
retitling the bug, and we'll see what happens.
