What is the output of 

grep -C 2 dvips35.map /var/lib/texmf/web2c/updmap.cfg
grep -C 2 dvips35.map /etc/texmf/updmap.d/*
kpsewhich --format='web2c files' updmap.cfg

Please run the last command just as you would run apt-get or dpkg, as
root or via sudo or whatever.
