Yes and no.  We are aware of a problem with inclusion of png files by
pdflatex on powerpc, but you mysql build fails when trying to include a
pdf file.  ATM I have no idea what this could mean.

The quagga build, on the other hand, fails when convert calls epstopdf.
This is just a perl script that calls gs with the right options (in a
pipe, yes).

I'll see whether I can investigate this, but I won't have much time soon
(just came home from 2 weeks of holiday, and many other things to do,
many money-job related).  Can you reproduce the bug on a system where
you can actually install packages?  Trying whether the powerpc build is
simply screwed would help us.
