But you do notice that the bug report speaks about a completely other
file than you? That bug occured because of a transition of a symlink
to an directory. And further it was just and error message and did
not make the install fail AFAICT.

No, that doesn't happen on my system and somehow the permissions on
your system are broken. I *know* that they're non-broken inside the
packages. Please consider to fix them manually.

The teTeX system on sdf.lonestar.org is quite oudated ;-).
