I did discuss that. It was not in a bug, but rather on the ML. In the
thread me came to the conclusion, that ist could cause more trouble
than it solves. As far as I understood Florent mostly removing
instead of purging a package caused problems.
Sorry, I can't give you a Msg-ID, but the discussion was performed
about a year ago.
