Again, without looking at the details (I should be working instead of
reading mail): You want to append this to updmap.cfg (or any other
configuration file) with updmap --enable/--disable/...  And you are sure
that this is

- easier to implement than what I proposed and
- still maintainable when upstream updmap changes
