Using debconf to get answers about which languages to install

Hi all developers!

In TeX live there you will be able to install support for several
languages, i.e. texlive-langXXXXX...deb, each of which installs a file
into /etc/texmf/language.d/.

Now when I install *ALL* languages format building breaks with TeX
capacity exceeded (of course, pinyin, cyrillic etc is just toooo much at
the same time).

I would like to ask the user in the pre-install or post-install script
something like:
Which language packs should be activated? (Be warned that
activating to many packs together may break bla bla bla)
and the user can select which packs are activated. Then the postinst
script should comment all lines in /etc/texmf/language.d/fooo for those
not selected.

Now the question: Is there already some code for doing something like
this floating around in tetex? Or can someone suggest how to do it the
best way?

Thanks a lot, and sorry for all the maybe stupid questions of one
just starting with debian developing!

Best wishes

Norbert
