Bug#261529: Character \MALE missing in marvosym.pfb

Package: tetex-base
Version: 2.0.2-9
Severity: normal
Tags: patch

Hello,

I'm using the tetex distribution bundled with debian sarge.

When trying to compile the following file with latex and produce a
PostScript file from the obtained dvi file, you will see that the \MALE character becomes a black square instead of the black filled male symbol (alike the \FEMALE one):

-----
\documentclass{article}
\usepackage{marvosym}

\begin{document}
\MALE \FEMALE
\end{document}
-----

The error message from dvips is the following:
-----
Warning: module writet1 of dvips (file marvosym.pfb): character 130 is
mapped to .notdef
-----

If you replace the marvosym.pfb file by the one you can find on ctan
(eg. ftp://ftp.loria.fr/pub/ctan/fonts/psfonts/marvosym/marvosym.pfb),
all works fine again.

Best regards,
