Have a look at http://bugs.debian.org/257075 (merged with your bug as
it seems to be the same issue). I guess "dpkg --configure tetex-bin"
now works, after you've upgraded the kernel?
Did you try to install tetex-bin with the 2.4.18 or have you already
upgraded to 2.4.24 before you installed tetex-bin?
