Miquel, could you try and install kernel-image-2.4.18-bf2.4, and then
check whether the problem also exists when you boot with this kernel?
Because then the error is not only in Eduards netinst images, but also
in the Debian kernel-image package. Eduard, I guess you based your
images on it, didn't you?
