Package: tetex-base
Version: 1.0.2+20011202-2
Severity: normal

For this .bib entry:

@Misc{qrp,
  author =       {Christopher Rohrs},
  title = {Query Routing for the Gnutella Network},
  howpublished = {\htmladdnormallink{\url{http://www.limewire.com/developer/query\_routing/keyword\%20routing.htm}}{http://www.limewire.com/developer/query_routing/keyword\%20routing.htm}},
  month =        jan,
  year =         2002
}

bibtex generates:

\bibitem{qrp}
Christopher Rohrs,
\newblock ``Query routing for the gnutella network,''
  \htmladdnormallink{\url{http://www.limewire.com/developer/query\_routing/key%
word\%20routing.htm}}{http://www.limewire.com/developer/query_routing/keyword\%
%20routing.htm}, Jan. 2002.

Which is wrong, and results in the bottom line be interpreted as a
comment by LaTeX. The \% and the % are mixed up. It should generate:

\bibitem{qrp}
Christopher Rohrs,
\newblock ``Query routing for the gnutella network,''
  \htmladdnormallink{\url{http://www.limewire.com/developer/query\_routing/key%
word\%20routing.htm}}{http://www.limewire.com/developer/query_routing/keyword%
\%20routing.htm}, Jan. 2002.

Hi all,

This bug is fixed in tetex-bin_2.0.2 which is now in unstable and
testing. The relevant changelog entry is=20

|=20
| * bibtex.ch [324]: Add comments clarifying the change and its
|         limitation.

| * bibtex.ch [324]: When breaking output lines, try to avoid

in texk/web2c/ChangeLog in the source package. It was just forgotten to
close when this version entered unstable. I also verified it on my
system (with different numbers of f's).
