Note that a similar situation exists with readlink, to the point where
my system has three different implementations installed:

	/usr/local/bin/readlink - kpathsea, my build
	/bin/readlink - coreutils
	/lib/init/readlink - initscripts

Happily these do not seem to be incompatible for basic usage.

Actually, other people had suggested this before this bug was even
filed.

No magic, just a subscription.  However, I read the mails from the
list somewhat irregularly, so if there is something that you want to
quickly draw my attention to, you should (continue to) send email
directly.
